Blogmas Day 16 – Movies to Watch this Festive Season

Christmas is my favourite time of the year (which I have probably said way too much during Blogmas)! I love lounging on the couch and watching Christmas movies. Today’s post contains movies that you might want to watch this year that aren’t 100% focused on Christmas but do feel Christmassy…to me anyway!

Anywhere But Home

This movie has Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn in it which already says it is a winner. It follows couple Kate and Brad as they try and visit all of their divorced parents on Christmas. Family Christmas movies are always fun to watch because there always seems to be some kind of drama that follows.

Okay, so I know that this movie is not actually about Christmas but I do feel as though the snow in the movie gives it a Christmas feel! It is also a musical and who doesn’t love to sing?! I will definitely be whipping this movie out several times this month!

Harry Potter

Harry Potter always feels festive and because there are so many of them you could definitely have a marathon this Christmas. If you do not know what Harry Potter is about then I really do not know what to say. It is full of magic and mystery and you will love it. If you don’t…well stop being such a muggle.

The Family Stone

I have spoken about this movie in a previous post but I love it! It follows a new-comer who is brought into the family and spends Christmas with them. It follows how she tries to get them to like her but there are quite a few hiccups along the way. There are also loads of big names in this movie.

The Holiday

This movie has Jude Law in it and I feel as though that is all I need to say. However, if that does not convince you then here is a bit about it. An American and an English lady swap houses over the festive season and both find someone special but it does not come without a few glitches.

Have you seen any of these movies? What movies have you been watching? Let me know in the comments below!
