Statistics prove, prove that you’ve one birthday,
One birthday every year.
But there are 364 unbirthdays
That is why we’re gathered here to cheer!
So last week Friday the children in my class decided to throw a (very) belated birthday party for me. My birthday is in February but because I wasn’t actually teaching them at that stage and they never got to share the day with me they wanted to have one. I called this my unbirthday party!
On Friday morning I had a parent and a child put balloons on the reading tree which gave the classroom a party feel! The children and their parents went all out for the party and they brought so much food!
There were two beautiful cakes as well as ice-cream, cooldrinks, crisps, popcorn, sweets, chocolates and baked goods. Apart from all of the food some of the children also brought gifts for me which I was not expecting!
From two different children I received two chocolates which is great because who doesn’t love a good chocolate?!
I also received a beautiful bunch of flowers and a gorgeous rose potted plant.
Along with the potted plant I received some delicious treats from Woolworths! I haven’t tried them before but I am so excited. I also love how cute the cream is – perfect for my classroom drawer or handbag!
I also received a beautiful necklace as well as a stunning soap and I am so excited to make use of both of these!
I am so grateful for my unbirthday party! I really do have some of the best children and parents any teacher could ask for!
