Why I Prefer the Cold

With Autumn fast approaching, thank goodness, I decided to write a post about why I prefer the colder weather. If you’re from somewhere where sun is a rarity then you might not understand this so just hear me out.

When it’s cold you can wrap up warm and drink copious amounts of tea while reading a good book but when it’s hot you start to perish in your own liquids and you just cannot get comfortable. Also, you can totally use the cool weather as an excuse to drink your body weight in hot chocolate.

During the colder months you wrap up in your blankets when you go to bed and you’re cozy the entire night. When it’s hot it doesn’t matter how few covers you have, you’ll still not be able to sleep. Also, I am one of those people who has to sleep with something covering them so in the heat that’s a problem.

The more layers the better during winter but in Summer there’s a point where you have to stop taking the layers off. Also, have you seen how many cute clothes and coats there are for the Winter season?!

You can eat that delicious warm, comfort food when it’s cold outside. During Summer there are times when it is simply too hot to eat. Spending hours in the kitchen when it’s a million degrees outside is not my favourite thing to do.

Onesies. Need I say more?

What are your thoughts? Do you prefer the warmer or cooler months? Let me know in the comments below!

This post is so everything about why I hate summer and why I am always wishing for the winter to come back! I’m not a fan of sweat in general, so I tend to despise the warmer months – but I’ve always been all alone in that. Nice to know there’s someone else out there with me who is just craving a blanket and a hot bowl of something yummy on a cold and hopefully snowy night.

I am so excited that we are finally going into Autumn! I am also glad to find a fellow winter lover as most people tend to enjoy the warmer months! x
