If you have been reading my blog for a while then you will know that I really love online shopping… a lot! Last week I ordered from Takealot and I’m so excited to show you what I bought. I’ve decided to only show the DVDs that I bought because otherwise there would have been just a few random bits and bobs.
Is there anyone else who loves wedding movies?! I love weddings so watching movies about them is one of my favourite things to do! Jane is a selfless friend who is always there for her friends. She has been a bridesmaid 27 times and has some pretty interesting dresses to show for it. She seems to have given up on her fairy-tale until her younger sister falls for the person Jane is secretly in love with, Jane’s very own boss! That’s when things start to get interesting!
Anywhere But Home
I have no idea why this movie is called Anywhere But Home as it is supposed to be called Four Christmases! It follows Brad and Kate as they try and spend Christmas with all of their divorced parents. Normally they get on a plane but due to circumstances one year they can’t. I love Christmas movies and this one is no exception. It is such a fun movie to get you in the festive spirit (if you aren’t there already!)
This movie is a more modern version of Beauty and the Beast. Kyle has a pretty cruel streak and pretends to be interested in Kendra only to humiliate her. He is then transformed into everything he hates with falling in love being the only way to break the curse.
The Family Stone
I love this movie, and not just for the gorgeous ring on the front cover! I mean how stunning is it?! Ultra conservative Meredith heads out of Manhattan to meet the family of her boyfriend, Everett. His family is very protective and does not open up to new people very quickly which makes for a lot of laughs and tense moments!
The Following (Season 2)
I have almost finished watching Season 1 so I am very excited to start Season 2! This show is about a serial killer, Joe Carroll, who has a cult following who does all of his bidding. It also follows FBI agent, Ryan Hardy, who is on the hunt to try and find him.
This is based on a book by Nicholas Sparks, one of my favourite authors and both the book and movie are absolutely beautiful! Katie moves to Southport and is noticed by a local widower, Alex. She finds it very difficult to trust people and doesn’t want to open up until a new friend convinces her to do so. However, her past threatens to put a damper on her new found happiness.
You can read my other Takealot haul over here and it has more than just DVDs. Also, if you’re feeling generous then please can you subscribe to my blog! There is a box just to your right 😉 Thank you in advance for any love that you show this post!
Have you watched any of these DVDs before? Which of these is your favourite? Let me know in the comments!
