My Top 5 Reality TV Shows

Reality TV-min

My favourite kinds of reality TV shows are not the ones where we follow a family around, or where we find out personal business about random people. No. My favourite shows are ones where people go on adventures, or discover new things. Well, for the most part. Here are the shows that I need to watch when they’re on.

Could I Live There?

I have not been watching this show for very long but from what I have seen, I love it. People who are thinking of moving to another country go on a 3 day adventure in the new country to see if they could actually see themselves living there. I love travel shows and this show also introduces me to a whole lot of different cities.

House Hunters International

This show gives me major wanderlust. Basically it is people house hunting in a new country and they get shown different options. I love this because I love seeing all of the different options that are out there. At the same time, this show makes me sad because most of the time when I watch it I want to move! I say most of the time because there are some places that I just cannot see myself moving to!

Log Cabin Living

Living in a log cabin has never been my idea of fun. I mean sure I’ll stay in one when I am on holiday but living in one? That is a whole different story. However, after watching this show I could definitely get behind the idea. Some of the log cabins that they show are just incredible! They are big, and open, and, to put it simply, gorgeous.

Pointless

Usually my dad, sister and I watch this show together which is a lot of fun because we all give our answers in so we even have our own little competition going. The whole point of this show is to get the pointless answer, so the answer that no one thinks of, the most obscure answer. My only problem with this show is in the final round when the contestants are given 3 categories to choose from. They so often choose the one that we know NOTHING about which makes things difficult! I mean someone chose something boring over 90’s boy bands… Really?!

Say Yes to the Dress

Okay, so I know that this one is kind of about people’s personal lives but for me it’s all about the dresses. I love seeing all of the different kinds. Although I love this show I do get frustrated when people allow other family members or friends to choose their dress. It is YOUR big day and you should not care what your mother/sister/best friend has to say. If you like a dress and feel comfortable in it then say YES to the dress!

Special Mention:

Plain Jane

I’m not sure if this show is still on which is why it became a special mention but I LOVE this show! For those of you who have not seen it, girls get makeovers and get taken on a journey to overcome their fears and then it ends off with them confessing their feelings to either a close friend, or someone that they have developed feelings for. I think that I love this show because I always wanted a makeover and I loved how much fun Louise Roe and the girl had when going through the journey.

These are my top 5 reality TV shows; I love watching them and sometimes even have to record them so I don’t miss out! Do you watch any of these? What reality TV shows are your favourite? Let me know in the comments below!

Love,

Kirsty x

I’ve never heard of most of these but we do have similiar ones. I love Location, Location, Location – where they house hunt for two couples. I love looking in the houses and exploring different parts of the country through this programme, Have you heard of Gogglebox? It’s basically watching people watching tv. I don’t watch this one that often but if they are watching a programme I watched earlier in the week too I like to see it to see if their reactions were the same as mine!

Ah Location, Location, Location sounds pretty similar to House Hunters but I haven’t seen it on TV here. I should try and find it! I have heard of Gogglebox but never watched it! I would love to give it a try haha

Say yes to the dress is one of my favourite programmes to put on and just watch when i’m doing work or when i’m feeling a bit under the weather because it’s so interesting to watch the whole process play out and also to think about which dress i’d end up choosing!

I love Say Yes to the Dress! It’s my absolute favourite guilty pleasure show (along with KUWTK) but I totally agree – I only watch for the dresses and I hate when relatives are so pushy and interfering!

I get so frustrated when brides don’t choose an amazing dress because of their mum or friend! I probably get a bit too involved in the show haha
