Birthday Dreams 2023: My Ultimate Wish List Revealed

In less than 2 weeks it’s my birthday. Living away from family is always tough on special occasions but at least I have my sister in Poland with me. I have also started making some good friends so I can celebrate with them too. When this time of the year rolls around I always like to make a birthday wish list. Not that I expect to actually get these things, but I do like making lists 😉

Usually when I make posts like this, I add a whole bunch of links. For this post I just decided to do some more general items and a short explanation of why they made the list.

Kitchen Items:

Travel Mug:

While I do have a travel mug already, it really isn’t on the greatest condition on the inside – and we all know it’s what’s inside that counts 😉

Dolce Gusto Coffee Capsules:

I chose this machine because I liked the selection of drinks available. I do prefer the more interesting ones – anything with caramel or vanilla is a win for me. However, having the more plain ones are also good because I like mixing the drinks.

Coffee Syrups:

I actually do not have any of these and I have never tried them. However, I would love to live my best Instagram coffee life and have a whole coffee bar in my apartment.

Yorkshire Tea:

Listen, the tea selection in Poland is seriously lacking. There might be many kinds of tea but not much of the good stuff. This tea is available online but it’s so expensive here that I really do not buy it for myself.

Lunch Boxes:

While I have lunch boxes for my actual food, I wouldn’t mind some smaller ones for snacks. These would be great for work and also for travelling/going out for the day.

Ferrero Rocher:

Okay, okay. There are many chocolates that will do. However, I love these. These are also the kind of chocolates that I would not just buy for myself. They always just seemed like special occasion chocolates. 

Beauty:

Face Masks:

Can you ever really have too many? I mean probably. However these are not reusable, and I like having a selection.

Zara Perfume:

Every time I like a perfume from Zara it seems to disappear. I love Zara perfumes, but I also would not be opposed to something different.

Claw Clips:

I used to have a whole selection of these when I was younger. They were all different colours, and I wore them all the time. I bought a couple of these recently, but you can never have too many. Many hair accessories also give me a headache, so these are great because they rarely do.

Makeup Storage:

My every day makeup tends to live in my makeup bag. I would love to have some makeup storage so that I can display it a bit better. I do have some makeup storage, and had from South Africa, but I definitely still need some more. This girl loves buying makeup.

Hobbies:

Puzzles:

I think that I have now built every single puzzle that I have bought for myself. I love building puzzles and I have officially run out of new ones to build. Now I need to start building them all again. All of my puzzles are 1000+ pieces – I am a serious puzzle builder 😉

Stationery:

I love stationery Sticky notes, highlighters, glitter pens – anything works for me! Okay but especially the aforementioned products. Pastel colours are good too!

Books:

I love reading. However, finding English books here can be a challenge. I also do not want to have to  uy brand new books every time. Those things are expensive! Second hand works just fine for me.

Football:

Please do not buy a football for me – I beg of you. However, football related items are just fine. Manchester United – the only way to go. Also, I do enjoy other sports, so rugby and cricket are just fine too – although less readily available here.

Baking:

Any items that can be used for baking are great. I really do not have many baking items here in Poland and I would love to get back into it.

So, that’s my not so brief birthday wish list. I don’t actually expect to get many of these things, if any. However, I do enjoy making these kinds of posts and this was fun to do. Also, the last time that I made one of these was in 2017. Some things are the same but some are definitely different!
