As a teacher I see different things in lunch boxes every day. I also take my own packed lunch to school and am always looking for different things to put inside! These snack ideas are all things that you can buy at the shops, are readily available, and don’t really require any effort. Now I know that they might not be the most ground breaking ideas. However, they are some of the quickest treats that you can do, while still being pretty healthy.
If we have apples in the house I will take one to work. They are delicious and so easy to prepare. I always cut my apple up before work as I like to work through break. A cut up apple is a lot easier to eat than a whole one! These are also really delicious dipped into any kind of nut butter! This goes for pretty much any fruit though. Fruit is literally the easiest thing to take to work, and it’s super good for you!
Okay, so I know that this is similar to the above suggestion however, here you can have a selection of different fruits, they are easy to eat, and they are delicious. You can even make your own at home to make sure that it is an even healthier option!
Mixed berries are delicious. I actually bought these for my homemade muesli but they are great for a snack as well. I mean I probably would not have as many as are pictured above but, you know, sometimes you need to do things to get the perfect photo 😉
I also bought these for my muesli and they are so good! There are so many different varieties in the mixed nuts that I buy and I love that! I never get bored, because I never quite know what is coming next.
This is the snack that takes the longest to make. By saying that, I am a microwave popcorn champion. I don’t really make popcorn on the stove (although I would like to try some new recipes I have found for that recently!) so popcorn in the microwave is my thing. This also takes less than 5 minutes to make and is a quick and easy snack.
