Two months ago, I started double cleansing. I know, I know. How has it taken me this long, right? Honestly, I didn’t really understand what the hype was all about but eventually (after watching so many people talking about it), I decide to give it a go. That decision brought with it a whole new problem – what would I use? After doing much research that still didn’t help me, I decided to just try out a product that looked and sounded good (based on reviews). I had heard amazing things about Korean skincare so I thought I would give it a try. When I stumbled upon the Rice Water Bright products by The Face Shop, I figured it was a good sign.
Having never used an oil cleanser before, I really didn’t think that it was going to make that much of a difference. Boy, was I wrong. I was amazed from the first time that I used it, and that’s the truth. Normally when I wear makeup and I try and remove it by washing my face, I end up with giant panda eyes. I then need to use an eye makeup remover to take the rest of my mascara off. I also noticed that when I used my toner, I would often still find traces of makeup on my face. However, using The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Light Cleansing Oil has meant that I no longer need to worry about that.
After I have washed my face with the cleansing oil, I use The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Facial Foaming Cleanser. By the time I have finished washing my face with both of these, my skin is clean and makeup free. Honestly it made my skin feel amazing after just one wash. I know that is such a cliché, but it’s the truth! At the moment, I am pretty happy using both of these together. They are both gentle on my skin and work really well. I normally only double cleanse and use this in the evenings.
Every night for the last 2 months or so, I have been using this, so it’s safe to say that they have lasted a fair while. I still haven’t finished either bottle.
