Essence Makeup Mystery Box

I was browsing Takealot, like I always do, and I came across an Essence Makeup Mystery Box. As I love Essence products so much I was intrigued. All it said was that you get 5 products inside. Now I really wanted to buy it but it was quite pricey (R280), especially considering I had no idea what I would get inside. However, one day I went on and it was on special for a third of the price! How could I turn that down?

Here are the products that I received in my mystery box:

Dip Eyeliner in Black

I had never tried this before and was excited to do so. However, dip eyeliners make me very nervous!

Forbidden Volume Mascara

I have one Essence mascara that I got in their Advent Calendar last year and I am in love with it! Getting a different one to try made me so happy!

Gel Nail Polish in 13 Forgive Me

I love Essence nail polishes and even though I have LOADS of shades, I do not have this one. It is an absolutely gorgeous colour as well!

Long Lasting Lipstick in 25 Poppy Pink

I have one other Essence lipstick (that I also got in my Advent Calendar last year) and I love it. This shade is so pretty as well which is great!

Toffee Eyeshadow Palette

This  palette alone is worth R90! That means that essentially everything else I got in this box was free! I also have two other eyeshadow palettes in this range (All About Roses and All ABout Nudes) so I was excited to get this one. The only reason I had not bought this one is because it was quite similar to the nudes one.

This box is definitely worth the money when getting it on special. Would it be worth the money normally? I am unsure. Not knowing what you would get is a bit risky.
