Date Ideas to Fall in Love This Autumn

Autumn Date

Autumn is one of my favourite seasons (I know there are only four options to choose from). The weather starts getting colder, days get shorter, life gets better. Grabbing a coffee, going on an adventure, and exploring a new place is an absolute dream. Finding date ideas during Autumn, when all you want to so is watch movies under a blanket, can be a challenge so hopefully this helps. If you’re not interested in any of these then try my Spring date ideas… although the weather might not be ideal.

Bake Together

Baking together is something simple but at the end of it you have something delicious that you can share over a cup of tea. Need some suggestions? I’ve got you covered. If you think that apple bakes are perfect for Autumn then I’ve got that for you too.

Build a Puzzle

This might not seem like the most exciting date but it also gives you some insight into the person you’re with. For example, do they build a puzzle starting from the outside pieces (as they should) or do they just put any pieces in (shock horror)?

Explore a New City

If you have a city or town nearby that you’ve never been to Autumn is a great time to explore. You can spend time outside exploring because it’s not too hot or too cold. Smaller towns always have hidden gems so be sure to look for those too.

Hot Chocolate Bar

Creating your own hot chocolate bar at home is a lot of fun. Grab a few different kinds of hot chocolate, marshmallows, biscuits, and anything else you like. Once you’ve set the bar up, you also have it available for the whole of Autumn so it’s a date that keeps on giving.

Make Brunch

Brunch food is the best food. Going out for brunch is always fun, but making your own can be fun too, especially because you can make everything exactly to your liking. Think pancakes, waffles, french toast – or you know boring breakfast food is fine too.

Pumpkin Picking

This doesn’t happen everywhere on the world, but I have seen many people from different countries posting about this. It’s a cute idea to do together because once it’s a less common activity and you get something to take home with you.

Take a Cooking Class

Learning a new skill together is great. A cooking class is something that you can do together and have something to show for it at the end of the date.

Visit a Board Game/Book Café

There are many places where you can go to play board games or that have a library of books for you to choose from. This can give you the benefit of having someone else cook for you, while still having the comfort of feeling at home by playing a game or reading books together.

Walk and Talk

As mentioned earlier, going on a long walk with a hot drink is the perfect Autumn activity for me. It’s inexpensive, fun, give you an opportunity to talk, and allows you to explore new places.

Watch Scary Movies

Even though not everyone has Autumn around Halloween, scary movies are always good. The weather is cold and a little gloomy – perfect for a scary movie evening. A themed movie night is even better. Theme your food, snacks, and drinks to whatever you’re watching.

Overall, Autumn is definitely a wonderful season for both being outdoors and indoors with a blanket. If you have any other Autumn date ideas, let me know!
