Fun Spring Date Ideas You’ll Love

Spring Date

Starting this blog post took some time because I am really the wrong person to be giving advice on dating. However that has never stopped me before so why should today be any different. Finding new date ideas can be difficult, especially when you live somewhere fairly quiet and there isn’t much to do. Also, life is tough – everything is expensive – so I’m adding a decent amount of ideas that don’t cost much. Hopefully some of these Spring Date ideas will inspire you. If not… read my post on Autumn date ideas – maybe that one will be better.

Adventure Date

If you’re a fan of adventure activities then this one might seem obvious. However, if you’re a little more reserved, then this might be a great idea. Look for somewhere in your area where you can rent a kayak, or go white-water rafting. Rock climbing or ziplining are also great options!

Go for a hike/on a walk

Spring provides great weather for hiking, or long walks outside. If you start early in the morning you can be finished before it starts getting too warm and the bugs come out. For hiking, it’s a wonderful opportunity to explore new places and see new things. However, grabbing coffee and going for a long walk (maybe at the beach) is a personal favourite of mine.

Go for a tasting

I know that sounds vague, but that is because there are so many options. If you like something, there is probably a tasting for it. Cheese? Wine? Chocolate? Find your favourite thing and make a day of it.

Pick Fruit

This one might sound odd, but there are places where you can go and pick your own fruit. I’ve seen people do this with strawberries and it seems like a lot of fun. It’s something different, allows you to spend time outdoors, and you get to take something away with you.

Putt Putt (also known as mini-golf)

This is such a fun activity when the weather is good. It’s one of those activities where it doesn’t really matter who wins – although I do think that winning is part of the fun. But it’s just a super relaxed activity, actually really great for a first date.

Rooftop Drinks

If you live in a city that has a beautiful skyline, a beach, or even just something pretty to look at, going for rooftop drinks is a great date. If you plan the location and the timing just right, you can go there to watch the sunset. Some restaurants even have the option of having dinner on the roof – another great option.

Stargazing

Sadly this isn’t always possible everywhere. However, if you live somewhere with a garden, and you’re far enough away from the city lights, this could be a wonderful date. It’s completely free, and watching the stars with someone you love makes for a special evening.

Visit A Market

This is one of the best Saturday morning activities. Waking up fairly early, heading to a market, grabbing a drink and walking around – so much fun. It’s also fairly inexpensive because you don’t actually have to buy anything, although these places almost always have some delicious pastry that I have to try.

Watch Sport

Watching sport together is a love language. Spring brings with it the season of cricket, and what a fantastic date that would be. There are loads of other sports that are played around this time of year – I just chose cricket because it is the best one. Even if you’re not interested in sport, it’s a cool thing to watch live even once.

Watch the Sunrise

Another free date idea. Not only is it free, but also a wonderful way to start the day with someone you love. Personally, I think that watching the sunrise at the beach is always beautiful. You can grab coffee and head over to the beach. After the sunrise, you can either stay there or get started on one of the other activities; either way, it’s a great way to start the day.

Obviously, there are way more date ideas to do in Spring, but this is a start. Spring weather is wonderful because it’s warm enough to start outdoor activities but not so warm that you can’t stand being outside. If you have any date ideas for Spring, I would love to hear them!
