Baking Halloween Biscuits

baking-halloween-biscuits

I don’t mean to alarm anyone but there is only one week until Halloween. ONE WEEK! That also means that there are only two months left in the year. Don’t panic, Kirsty. DON’T PANIC! Oh my goodness! Well sorry for that little tangent but where has this year gone?!

ingredients

I decided to bake some Halloween biscuits because they combine two of my favourite things – Halloween and baking! I found a really simple recipe on The Cupcake Store and you can find it on their website over here.

batter

This recipe really makes a lot of biscuits. The biscuits below aren’t even all of the ones that I made and these ones are quite big so if you are looking for a recipe that makes a decent amount of biscuits then I would recommend this one! I was also looking for a recipe that didn’t rise, as I wanted the biscuits to keep their shape, and this one was perfect for that. I made the biscuits relatively thick because otherwise they broke when I picked them up.

These are the biscuits after they came out of the oven – as you can see they are still in the perfect shape!

halloween-pumpkins

I think that the pumpkins are my favourite out of all of the biscuits. I am just so happy with the way that they turned out – the shape and the icing.

I realise that the ghost looks a little bit scary but I think that it fits with the Halloween theme so I’m going with it. I do love how the tombstone turned out though. It took forever to ice the writing because I used a toothpick but I think it turned out pretty well.

I wasn’t sure how the haunted houses would turn out but I don’t think they look too bad actually. I also think that the bats are perfect for the background of the haunted houses.

Do you ever make any Halloween treats? What are your favourite Halloween biscuits out of the ones that I made? Let me know in the comments!

Love,
