Beauty Review: The Body Shop Advent Calendar 2021

For the last 3 years I have bought The Body Shop Advent Calendar and every year I am excited about its arrival. Something that I love about this calendar is the packaging. The box is so sturdy and you can definitely reuse this calendar and create your own for years to come.

Today I’m going to be showing you everything that I received each day in The Body Shop Advent Calendar – I bought the Ultimate one which is the biggest one that is available but there were 3 options with different prices. This calendar also has 25 days which is amazing!

Day 1: British Rose Shower Gel

This is one of my favourite scents from The Body Shop. The scent is so gentle and relaxing. Also, I love the shower gel from The Body Shop in general.

Day 2: Camomile Cleansing Butter

I have never used this before (cleansing butter or this particular product) so I am pretty excited to try it out. I use other products to wash my face in the evenings but I also have the Camomile Micellar Water that I use occasionally which is from this same range.

Day 3: Vitamin E Toner

I have used the Vitamin E Range before and I quite liked it. I’m not as fussy with the toner that I use on my skin so I am happy to try this out, especially as I often forget to buy new and then I run out.

Day 4: Konjac Sponge

I had to Google this because I had absolutely no idea what it could be. I had never seen or heard of these sponges before. Apparently it goes in water, becomes soft and you can then use it – even on your face! So I guess I will reserve my judgement until I have actually used it!

Day 5: Vitamin E Face Wash

As previously mentioned, I have used this range before. I have actually used this exact product because I received it in a previous Advent Calendar. I really liked it, although I have since changed my skincare routine.

Day 6: Shea Shower Cream

I have never used this product before, and I haven’t really used the range either but I know that this is really good for your skin. It is a small bottle, but as most of the products are full size, I’m not even complaining.

Day 7: Coconut Lip Butter

I will be honest, I have a couple of these from previous years that I have not used yet. I think that I always just forget about them. So I should probably leave this somewhere I can see it so I can actually use it!

Day 8: Bath Sponge

This actually smells really good! I mean is there a special way to use this? I have absolutely no idea. However, I will need to try it before I can properly critique it.

Day 9: Berry Bath Blend

This was in a previous Advent Calendar and I still haven’t used it – shocking, I know! I’m glad I have another one though because it means I will now definitely open the other one. It smells incredible!

Day 10: Chinese Ginseng & Rice Clarifying Polishing Mask

I LOVE masks from The Body Shop but I have never used this one before. It is supposed to give you brighter looking and softer feeling skin so I am excited to try it out. It is a very small pot, but you can still get a few uses out of it.

Day 11: Vitamin C Glow Sheet Mask

This is another mask that I received in a previous Advent Calendar. I enjoy sheet masks and I like having a stash of them, so this one is going to join the pile. I still have my one from last year actually.

Day 12: Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser

This helps your face to feel refreshed and energised and if we don’t all need that right about now then I really don’t know… I know that it is certainly going to help me out!

Day 13: Mango Body Mist

Never before have I used a body mist from The Body Shop before so I am excited to try this. I like the Mango scent but we will have to see how it reacts when I actually put it on and wear it.

Day 14: Shea Shampoo

Every year, The Body Shop put shampoo into the calendar and I love it. They make really good hair products and every year the scent has been different which has allowed me to try out a new one! This one is new to me so I am excited.

Day 15: Pink Grapefruit Lip Butter

Here we have another lip butter. Another product that I need to put in clear view of myself, otherwise I will forget about it and I’ll remember next year when I’m writing about the new Advent Calendar.

Day 16: Shea Conditioner

I have actually used this! I needed conditioner the other day and remembered that I had this one. It was pretty good and left my hair feeling soft. This one is for dry to very dry hair which might not be to everyone’s taste. However, I have dyed blonde hair which can leave my hair feeling a little dry if I don’t condition it so this is actually perfect.

Day 17: British Rose Body Scrub

Have I already said that this is one of my favourite scents? I’m pretty excited about this product because the shower products from The Body Shop are really good! I can’t wait to use it!

Day 18: Mango Hand Cream

I have a tube of hand cream permanently next to my bed and in my bag. I think that the only hand cream I actually use is from The Body Shop. Only because I have so many from Advent Calendars and I am still using them!

Day 19: Mango Body Yoghurt

You can tell that they were not shy with the amount of Mango scented products they put in the calendar this year. I struggle with body yoghurt because I feel like it doesn’t always feel super moisturing when I put it on, but at the same time I can feel that it works. So, yeah it a tough one for me.

Day 20: British Rose Hand Cream

Another hand cream in one of my favourite scents – this one was pretty much a win all around for me! Definitely happy with it.

Day 21: Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask

I LOVE this mask! Actually, I have 2 full size ones from previous years and I opened one recently and I love it. I wanted to do a full review blog post on it which must tell you something! This one is only a small one but I am still happy with it!

Day 22: Shea Body Lotion

This was another prominent scent this year! Honestly this bottle is so big, it’s amazing. I am pretty happy about this because it is not something that I would probably have bought for myself, so I am excited to try it out!

Day 23: Youth Concentrate Sheet Mask

I actually used one of these the other day. It was pretty good. My skin didn’t feel much different after using it, but it did feel good the next day so that’s something. Now I have another one to add to my stash!

Day 24: Drops of Youth™ Concentrate

This has been in the previous The Body Shop Advent Calendar that I have bought (both of them actually) and I have used both bottles until the last drop. It is supposed to help your skin to feel healthy and to look nice and glowy. It is also supposed to help protect your skin from pollution. I live in Kraków which has so much pollution, especially in Winter. So here’s hoping it actually does protect your skin from that!

Day 25: Avocado Body Butter

I don’t often use body butter but honestly this one sounds so good that I actually might start. It is supposed to have nourishing moisture for 96 hours – how crazy is that! In doing research for this post, I also noticed that it has avocado oil from South Africa in it. As a proud South African, how can I not use it now?!

That brings to an end everything that I received in The Body Shop Advent Calendar, as well as the end of a rather lengthy blog post! The Advent Calendar itself was pretty pricey I bought mine for 599 zł (£110 / R2335) but the value of the products came to approximately 876 zł ( £160 / R3414) so honestly it’s 100% worth it. Also, I could not find prices for a few things and a few were estimated but honestly, so worth it! Also, you can easily re-gift things that you might not like.

In case you missed it – here is my review on the 2021 Essence Advent Calendar.
