If you live in Port Elizabeth then you are probably already familiar with Grass Roof. They make the most instagrammable milkshakes ever which is what my family and I went to try out today. Yes, I had never been there before, don’t judge me!
Before I get into that though let me tell you a bit more about Grass Roof in case you are not familiar with it. It is a wonderful restaurant in the Seaview area with an actual grass roof. Yes, just as the name suggests!
It has such a lovely atmosphere and you can sit inside or outside. We chose to sit outside under one of the umbrellas. There is also a play area for children so they have something to do as well which helps with the boredom on their part.
They have a very nice menu with lots of options. When I looked at the menu I noticed that they have loads of different pizza options which means that I will obviously have to go back so I can try one of those!
I am going to say that it took forever for our milkshakes to arrive however there were a lot of us at the table and they were very busy! I ordered a Bar One Crazy Shake and I was not disappointed when it arrived. It looked absolutely amazing and I cannot show you just one photo!
So, it looks good but did it taste good? YES! I loved all of the bits on top. There was popcorn, meringue, an ice-cream (yes, there was an ice-cream in my milkshake!), sprinkles, sweets and even a mini flake. It was honestly so gorgeous and it tasted delicious as well!
As I write this I am still recovering from the after effects of my chocolate coma! There was just so much in the milkshake and it was so filling and sweet.
