I went into Dis-Chem and saw that they had the new Essence range and it was Christmas themed! Obviously I needed to get some bits because Essence have good quality makeup, everything was pretty, and it was Christmas! I ended up buying one of almost everything in The Little X-Mas factory Collection…whoops! I have given you a mini-review on the products as well as swatches!
All I Want for X-Mas is You Lip Tint
I have used this lip tint and the brush really tickled my bottom lip! It felt really weird going on as it was quite watery. I thought that it would be very sticky but it actually wasn’t. It dried well and left a bit of a stain on my lips for a while which gave them a nice colour.
Elf Yourself Contouring Palette
This is really cute and I love the little touch of the bow! I have not used it yet for the purpose of contouring but when applying the swatches I found that it was very soft and easy to apply!
Ho-Ho-Ho Liquid Gold Eyeliner
I played around with this the other day just so that I could see how it applied. I can tell you that it goes on really well and the colour is absolutely gorgeous! Definitely perfect for Christmas!
I bought 3 out of the 4 colours. I chose these ones because I did not have any colours like this and they will work really well for the festive season. The colours look exactly the same as they do in the bottle which is quite rare these days! The colours that I bought, from top to bottom, are: 01 I Still Believe in Santa Claus, 02 Let’s Take An Elfie, 04 Meet Me Under the Mistletoe.
North Pole Express Delivery Eyeshadow Palette
I’m going to start with the eyeshadow palette. All of the colours are absolutely gorgeous and they are quite pigmented which is always a good thing. I actually spoke a bit more about this in a previous Blogmas post where I used it for my end of year work function.
Super Rich Mini Hand Cream
I bought both of the ones that they had on offer. Holiday Hugs is a vanilla scented cream and …and Mistletoe Kisses has a cookie scent. They are not sticky and leave your hands feeling really soft.
The Little X-Mas Factory Collection is definitely one of my favourite Essence ranges. Have you purchased or used any products from this range? What is your go to makeup for this season? Let me know in the comments below!
