2016 Favourites

2016-favourites-min

As I did Blogmas this year I feel as though I have already told you most of the things that I have loved this month. However, I do one of these posts at the end of every month and I would never want to deprive all of you from reading one this month 😉 so I decided to do a post about all of the good things that have happened in 2016. I thought that I would focus on events and not things. Here are my 2016 favourites.

Blog

I launched my new blog this year and ever since I have really become involved in the blogging community.  I am also really happy about the quality of my content and photography on my new blog, something that I sometimes struggled with on my previous blog.

Friends

Although I lost some friends this year I have made quite a few new ones, mainly thanks to blogging. I have people that I can speak to about anything and that’s a really great thing to have in a friend in my opinion! I also reconnected with a friend that I studied with and we have become such good friends this year which makes my heart so happy.

The Olympics

2016 was the year of The Rio Olympics. I LOVE The Olympics! Diving and Gymnastics give me both life and make me feel very inadequate haha! This was definitely a highlight for me as I got to watch quite a bit of it and loved every minute!

The Vamps

I bought a ticket to go and watch them next year when they come to South Africa. I am so excited about it and I already know what I am going to wear. Is that  bit sad?! Maybe, but I don’t care… I’ll be watching The Vamps!

Work

This year I got my dream job. It is teaching a grade that I love at one of the best schools in my city. It is such a lovely school and I have such amazing support there. This has definitely been the biggest thing to happen to me this year and I am so happy about it!

Also, let’s not forget that this is the year that Leonardo DiCaprio won his very first Oscar…and if that doesn’t make you happy then I really cannot help you.

What are your 2016 favourites? What happened to you this year? Let me know in the comments below!

Love,

  1. Aww, I love these posts. 2016 has been an INTERESTING year, but there have definitely been some positives. I’m also pretty happy with how my blogging has been going, as I just celebrated my 2nd year of theatre blogging. It’s kind of taken over my life in 2016 but I love it! 😀

    Happy new year!

  2. 2016 has definitely been a weird old year in the world but personally it has been pretty steady! I’ve managed to travel a little this year and been to a few concerts – for 2017 I would love to get healthier and work on my mental happiness!

  3. I’d kind of forgotten about that the olympics were this year even though I was glued to the TVs watching them! Feels like ages ago! I started teaching this year which has been the big thing, which grade do you teach?

  5. Sounds like it’s been a good year for you lovely! I would love to see your blog continue to grow this year. The best thing about this year for me was my other half asking me to marry him, I will never forget that. I wish you all the best for 2017.
