Mini Bits ‘n Bobs Haul

I had no intentions of doing a mini haul but I went shopping this weekend and found so many great things that I knew I had to!

Mr Price

I started at Mr Price and bought two ring cards and winter tights. We will just ignore the fact that we are going into Spring! These ring cards were such a bargain – about R40 per pack! I can only find a link to one of the packs but the website is here if you want to see some others.

I only bought one thing at Clicks and that was these delicious Smartbite Veggie Crisps. I love these because they are healthier than normal crisps and they taste delicious! They were also on a 3 for 2 sale which are my favourite!

Dis-Chem

Dis-Chem is a great shop because they sell loads of different things. I bought three things here. Beauty blenders are quite expensive but Dis-Chem have great dupes for a fraction of the price. They are only R40! I picked up another one while I was there as mine should probably be replaced fairly soon. I also bought an Essence transparent lip pencil. I haven’t tried it yet so let me know if you have?

The last thing I bought from Dis-Chem was a Rimmel London bag. You got the bag with mascara, eye pencil and lip gloss so it was quite a bargain.

Typo

I love Typo so much because they always have amazing things. When I saw that this mug was on sale I had to buy it! It also has the best saying on it! I really love tea so this mug is perfect for me. It is also about double the size of a normal mug!

CNA

I walked into CNA because I was actually looking for a gift for someone. I saw this as I walked in and I had to buy it. You can call me a nerd and I will embrace it fully! I mean I probably won’t buy every issue because they will be quite expensive but I had to get this one.

  2. Unfortunately, if you’ve ever used a real Beauty Blender, you’ll know that those Dischem ones aren’t even NEARLY dupes. They’re actually terrible, and soak up so much foundation! I’ve been through so many supposed dupes, and nothing compares to a legit Beauty Blender, but they are INSANELY pricey, and if you don’t care for them properly, they’ll not even last you a month.

    You’d do well, getting your hands on the Cala version – it looks exactly the same as that Dischem one, is also sold in Dischem, but it costs around R60-R70. Much closer to the Beauty Blender, and doesn’t use up all of your foundation.

    1. I will have a look at those ones. I have heard a lot of people say that about their foundation but I haven’t used any more than normal since using these ones thankfully 🙂

  4. Was also going to suggest that you try and get the CALA sponge from Dischem, it’s really great.

    I love the mug! I’m also going through a Typo phase at the moment…I jsut love their stuff.

    Let us know about the mascara…I’m always on the hunt for new mascaras. I have about 10 in rotation at any given time. I have a problem. he he

  11. I recently brought a beauty blender and it is honestly the best product I’ve ever brought! My foundation looks so much more natural and I get such a better finish than with a brush!

  14. Great haul! I love the veggie crisps and the Rimmel London bag – I love that you got all three things with it. That is quite a bargain! I love Marvel things! I’m a bit of a nerd myself. I’ll be going to a comic con soon enough haha. Great post xo
